How to Serve North Country Smokehouse Bistro Hams
Hams are frozen when they leave Shelburne Farms. Each ham is fully cooked and may be served without warming, when brought to room temperature. Thawing in refrigerator for two days is recommended before serving. Unopened hams may be refrigerated for up to 3 weeks or frozen for up to 3 months.
Serve at room temperature, or for baked ham richness, bring to room temperature and then place unwrapped ham in a pre-heated 325°F oven and heat until internal temperature is about 120°F.
Approximately 90 minutes for half hams and 120 minutes for whole hams. For a softer ham surface, cover loosely with aluminum foil for first half of heating time.
Note: The texture is best if you bring ham to room temperature first, but add 20 minutes to heating time if putting cold ham in oven
directly from refrigerator.
