1-Year Cheddar

After about a year of aging, the buttery grassy flavors of our younger cheddar give way to the delightfully acidic finish of our Sharp Cheddar. This cheese melts wonderfully and provides a robust flavor note in your favorite recipes.

Eight ounce pieces are available in vacuum-sealed packaging or wax. All other pieces are in wax only. Wax has been used to preserve the flavor and quality of cheese since before refrigeration and vacuum-seal technology were common. All our cheddar cheeses achieve their full flavor potential when brought up to room temperature by removing them from refrigeration a half hour to an hour before serving.

Ingredients: Raw Milk, Salt, Calf Rennet, Starter Cultures
Try pairing with roasted nuts, English style ales like ESBs (Extra Special Bitters), and honey. Those toasty and sweet notes really bring out the flavors and textures of our 1 year aged cheddar.
